This law will affect all gun owners if it is passed and signed into law and raising taxes on certain firearm licenses, FET taxes in making firearms and ammunition and transfers of other lawfully owned and registered/transferable weapons.

If you listen to some of the more rabid anti-gunners: THIS IS THEIR PLAN! You only need to look at CA, NY or CT to see what they desire nationwide. They want to make it prohibitively expensive to own and shoot a firearm. THIS is why there should be absolutely NO COMPROMISE!

This approach ended up being the federal government's response to alcohol, tobacco, and.... (hmmm, sounds familiar). Alcohol and tobacco were allowed to be legal to own, but both gave a "cut" of their profits to the federal government. You better believe the federal government does not want to see either alcohol or tobacco go away, it would cut too far into their take.

I have no real fear of this sort of extreme legislation actually passing, but it does make the anti gunners show their hand. Remember when "they" claimed that no one was trying to take away our guns. Ha. Take care. Tom Worthington
