set a good example and show the public that we are their friends, family, neighbors, cashiers, transportation employees, fathers and mothers of their kid's friends, etc...

so you sheepdog guys don’t view yourselves as a part of the public......more of an elite group of protectors just waiting in the wings to start kicking some ass when the time is right ? When the sheep start getting pushed around and bullied sheepdogs start coming out and taking control of the situation ?

Rick, by "armed response" are you talking about armed fighting or the time when an armed protest where it's not permitted would be the thing to do. It seems like we are talking two separate issues.
1) an armed protest march where that weapon is not allowed by law.
2) armed fighting.

I would think that a protest(s) with carried arms should and would be tried long before something like a second civil war erupts. Is this the time for that? Protests both legal and illegal were used for years before the 1776 Revolution. Many meetings were held and grievances sent to King George (legal protest) as was the Boston Tea Party (illegal protest)

Well I guess when you look at it like that... one sort of follows the other doesn't it? If you go so far as to have an "Armed Protest" things are on their way to an "Armed Intervention/Fight", aren't they?
I was sort of generalizing it, because, this is a response to the Gov'ts actions; and the response contains armed individuals lol... But I was more or less speaking of Term #1... Term #2 is what I am afraid is going to happen with this "show of force" parade.

Besides these guys aren’t going to get guns banned.....after the massacre in CT that didn’t do it no matter how many times the president used them as a backdrop for his rant and personal agenda, these folks aren’t going to cause it.
hell a lot of people who don’t own guns are probably ok with an armed protest in dc these days….health care, jobs….you know the crap that actually makes the country work. We as a nation need to regroup remember where we came from, worry less about what everyone else is doing and focus on bettering ourselves….

Here's an update from the Facebook page. It sounds like it is going forward. With it planned this far in advance it should help some coordination take place for it to remain non-violent.
UPDATE 130506 Now that it's undeniable that this is going to happen, allow me to make clear how. There will be coordination with DC law enforcement prior to the event. I will recommend that they do the best they can to honor their oaths and escort us on our route. Failing to provide that commitment to safety, we will either be informed that we will only be allowed up to a certain point where we would be arrested. If this is the case, we will approach that point as a group and if necessary, I will procede to volunteer myself to determine what their actual course of action with someone crossing the line will be at which point fellow marchers will have the choice of joining me one at a time in a peaceful, orderly manner, or turning back to the National Cemetery.

lol Oli, I meant to be a smart ass about the sheep dog thing... As for the second part, I missed some information there... I was referring too Gun Owners when I said "we..." By no means was I separating the "sheep dog community" (if you will call it that) from the General Public or calling any of us an "elite group of ass kickers".... But I can see how you took it that way when I left some information out.

Maybe their actions specifically won't get them banned but dependent on the turn out of this event (if it happens) it can be twisted to aid the Left's attacks on our rights...


"Breaking News: Assault on Capital turns Deadly" is what the news would report when really it was suppose to a show of force and support for our rights.

Idk... I just don't see ANYTHING good coming of this and would rather avoid it happening then supporting what it could do for us...

There are different degrees of this…..if I am on a sinking boat, I am going to start shoving people in life boats….dont care who they are we are all living through that…..but if the North Koreans come its going to be my imidiate family, friends and their family….after that it will be people who can bring something to the table…..and they still have to pass the smell test

The sheepdogs can have at the sheep all they want, slip into a phone booth
