NORRISTOWN, Pa. — She was a rising Democratic star. She was the first in her party to be elected state attorney general. She was one of the most powerful women in Pennsylvania.

But on Monday night, Kathleen G. Kane, the state’s top prosecutor, became a convicted criminal.

A jury found Ms. Kane, 50, guilty of nine criminal charges, including perjury and criminal conspiracy, convicting her of leaking grand jury information, and then lying about it, in an effort to discredit a political rival.

Ms. Kane was caught up in a web of scandal and counterscandal, threaded with lewd emails, political rivalries and alleged leaks. It has cost other state officials, including two State Supreme Court justices, their jobs and Ms. Kane her law license, although she has remained on the job as attorney general.

She has since resigned her position. I really can't stand her. She's a typical Philly, big city democrat. One of the first things she did in office was start arbitrarily cancelling concealed carry reciprocity agreements we had with other states. Another was to cancel an investigation into a handful of Philly state level politicians for bribery. She claimed the investigation was racist (never gave evidence of this) because they were all minorities. She swore it didn't have anything to do with them all being democrats. She did bring down the two justices for porn and she is correct that PA has a very entrenched "old boys" network. She was very stupid for the leak the brought her down as a solid evidence trail and witnesses led right back to her. Good riddance.
 
The temporary AG that has been put forth, a republican, seems to be most famous for investigating Bill Cosby over 10 years ago and not bringing any charges.
 
She'll be quaffing mimosas with Hillary on the terrace in Kennebunkport by tiffin, folks.

Kane was also placed on 8 years of probation.

The Montgomery County District Attorney objected to that idea of house arrest citing Kane's "abuse of power."
 
I was absolutely shocked that a Philly elitist got jail time. I wish it was longer but 10 months is better than house arrest. The PA system got one right for a change. Even democrats are complaining about the mess that she left behind at the state AG office.

Sounds a lot like someone that is hoping to become the first female elected president of the United States...

Whatever special color you are making text for emphasis, it comes out yellow or even white on white for me. If I know the text is there I can highlight it. and it then looks white on blue.

I see yellow on white, also... The underlined "A" next to the underlined "U" above in the tool bar is for picking text colors. Might I suggest red or blue or some other higher contrast color?
 
I think Shooter13 is using a dark background.

I use the default one as camo, because lots of our software is blue/grey/white too.
