Well it's harder to touch up than regular Bluing. It's more scratch resistant but as soon as you scratch it it will Rust.

I have the fancy Cowboy model with Marine coat and too much Marine coat inside the receiver. I polished a bunch of it out before the gun ran well.

I might expect some extended break in time depending on how good a job they did.
 
That's interesting. It gives a gun a very classy look, but it may be the wrong finish for a hard use truck gun. I think I may be best with bluing. Thanks.
 
Well as long as you keep it oiled, all the scratches stay silver and then they match the gun; but if you let it get dry they turn rusty and then you gotta buff.
