What a terrific Christmas! No snow of course...this is California. But it was Frosty. Very frosty this morning. Well, California Frosty...
Christmas always comes on Christmas Eve for us due to scheduling conflicts. Anyhow the whole family was over. Everybody had a good time and I cooked a
traditional rib roast and trashed the entire kitchen.
That's my eldest daughter eating a cookie.
Youngest daughter with cookie.
We had an ugly Christmas sweater cookie decorating competition, and all the grandkids decorated little edible sweaters.
The little kids both got new helmets and (much too expensive) custom cruiser skateboards, which I built them.
This is a very Advanced design for cruising and carving: the wasp-waist cutaway, drop-through tail, semi-schlongboard.

Hand-painted from my own designs.
The big kids all got lots of stuff including fat gift certificates to go shoe shopping, and build it yourself "doodling robot" kits.
I gave them all new screwdrivers too, and we built robot kits and had robot wars on the kitchen table.
My wife gave me a new bore snake and a Lee Load-all shotshell press in 12 gauge.
I bought her a new high pressure sprayer so she can blast out her dog kennel and her patio furniture.
This was the Mythical Perfect Christmas that nobody got sick, nobody got hurt, there were no accidents, everybody showed up on time, and none of the food got burned. When you have seven grandchildren this is statistically impossible so I don't expect it to ever happen again.
A wonderful Christmas like this is a joy to remember.
