Pennsylvania introduces a gun registry bill

We don't need better registration of firearms. We need better detection of nutty people.

If you're a goof up a screwball or a ne'r-do-well, we're not allowed to profile you for that.

Maybe we can train dogs to detect craziness and let them do the profiling. More likely it will be done by computers.

Now I am normally pretty big on privacy rights but, Google and Amazon already have profiles on almost all of us. Some pretty astute deductions could probably be made from all the data they have collected.

And I don't have a big problem with using that as long as there's human verification.

Humans have to be the last link. I don't think we should just have Amazon send a drone out to pick you up or to locate your guns by ground-penetrating radar.

Great. Another state introducing an over the top bill. No, I don't think it will gain traction. However, we keep seeing more and more of this stuff. "They" seem pretty emboldened to publicly show their hand (true agenda). :brick: And, eventually, some of it is going to stick. Take care. Tom Worthington

Thanks for posting up about PA Tom. Below is a list of the current gun laws that have been put forth this term in Harrisburg. You will see a few pro gun bills. Most are put forth every year, mostly by Philly and Pittsburg liberals. HB 768 that you posted about though is a new one and it had generated more interest than is normal here especially at PAFOA and the the 3%ers with all vowing non compliance should it somehow get through. Also of concern here is our uber liberal governor reportedly attending a Soros funded socialist get together with other like minded traitors. He started as a mid sized county businessman that never ran for office and bought the governors mansion as a small time Obama wannabe. He is in his mandated last term so if he attended that he is probably looking for higher office. Naming him as a VP candidate would probably carry PA for whatever democrat he can leach onto.

2) passport type photos, all the normal personal information plus anything the state police deem necessary
3) finger printing
4) for each gun, every year you pay a $10 non-refundable tax and provide manufacturer, caliber/gauge, model and serial number.
5) registration is done every year
6) get a background check for guns you already had a background check (and fee!) for.
7) a rejection requires a 10 day period to file an appeal or turn your guns over to the state police
8) they also added a requirement to keep all registered guns unloaded, disassembled or trigger locked unless in use.
9) all transfers to go through the state police
10) mandatory theft reporting

Doesn't sound like they actually took the 20 minutes it would take to read the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Doesn't sound like they actually took the 20 minutes it would take to read the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Or our state constitution.
Article I, section 21 of the Pennsylvania State Constitution states: “The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.”

They know what the constitution and bill of rights says. They don't care. The left wants control and they need a defenseless population to gain that control. Their agenda is not really gun control, it's people control. Absolute, 100%, cradle to grave people control.
