With that special shotgun there needed to be a MINIMUM of five uniformed officers including the gunner. Very very few agencies can put those kind of assets on a scene during the initial standoff. I would actually prefer six who were a really tight team that knew everybody's assignment.
I watched that just the other night! I have an article on that gun from American Rifleman or maybe Popular Mechanics but I can't seem to find it in my archives. I'm pretty sure I posted it here at one time several years ago, probably when it first came out.
