Yeah, I'm not a big fan of putting those kinds of pics on the Interweb.

Yep, these are some old pix that I found. Besides, most of the collection was lost in a boating accident...ya...that's the ticket ;)

Holy crap!

That same thing happened to me. Turns out transporting my safe by canoe was a BAD idea. We live 'n learn...

WOW, same thing here!!!

Only I picked Hurricane weather to try and move my stuff from camp and the canoe was just a bad idea..

well...there ya go.

Now I don't feel so stupid. And all this time I thought it was just me.

Someone really needs to redesign these floating devices, that's all there is to it. ;)

Todays Range fun

My Son and I went to the Club this afternoon and brought a bunch of toys to play with.

The Mini 14 and 30 are a great shooting rifle, 2 of my favorite in my collection with the Mini30 being right on top. The Mini 14 came with the wood stock and the Mini 30 came with the synthetic stock. I switch them seeing as the Mini 14 is stainless and the 30 just looks sweet in the wood. The M1A is a straight shooting beauty and we put about 200rnds of 7.62x51mm Federal made for M1A's and the results where excellent. The LMT got the tan makeover for the day and as always she is just a joy to shoot. The 590A1 got about 30 3" slugs down it and it is my favorite shotty in my collection.

My beloved Mini's..

Also not in the picture but made the trip as well are my Czech Mauser and 10/22 with tru glo red dot which worked out great.

Sounds like a good time was had by all !!

Enjoy those moments...they are fleeting !!

...THREE firearms, TWO hand grenades, and a partridge in a pear tree...

You got hand grenades for Christmas?! NICE! So is that a Red Jacket AK? Is that the new SIG 1911-22 on the left? C'mon we need details! Inquiring minds want to know...

No not a red jacket AK-way too expensive for my blood...it is a Arsenal SGL-21 AK-47..it was my son's present to him if he came up with half I would go the other half.were at the bank Christmas eve cashing his christmas checks...then off to the Gun store. That is the Sig 1911-22 in brown also got the barrel adapter and a silencer (fake :( ) that was our present to him. The other is a sig Mosquito in winter white digital camo....sa it at the gun store around thanksgiving...it is either the sexiest gun or the butt ugly gun I've seen, either way had to buy it. throw in 3 red jacket t-shirts, a couple lead pineapples then that is Christmas.....Pics to follow

Nice!

I was just fondling one of the SIG 1911-22s the other day. It was all I could do not leaving the store with it, but I may end up with one before it's all said and done. VERY interested in a range report if you're up for it. I like the Mosquito too, the camo just makes it unique. Very cool...

The 1911 shot well put all 10 rounds in the zombies head at 50 feet, did have a few jams, but was shooting it dry, lubed it up went though just fine with thunderbolts and blazer lead ammo. What I like about it it is actual weight of the 45 unloaded, so my kids can get the feel for a 1911. which maybe the next purchase down the road. My one son had a couple of jams I think due to him limp wristing it, used to shooting my 9mm and 40 so I think he was absorbing some of the recoil and the round wouldn't eject...probably takes all a 22 can do to blow back this heavy slide. The polymer Mosquito was definitely lighter than the 1911-22

You might wanna thnk about hanging onto the Red Jacket shirts. They may quickly become collectible if the rumors I heard the last few days are true about them losing their license.

I think you have to be a member of the site to access the link below, but here it is anyway.

I already know that Vince (The lead gunsmith @ RJF) started his own company last month:

http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/sons-of-gun ... s-bio.html

I don't know how many of you are familiar with their history, but several years ago, there were known as red stick firearms before a name change.
