So is frog lube still most peoples #1 choice ?

Not exactly. While I do like FL, I think the general consensus on most gun forums is just the opposite.

I have some ballistol on order with a real avid cleaning mat. I also have some hoppes and some rem oil.


The rem oil I have been using on the folding sections of my pocket knives for years. I also wipe the blades with a tuff cloth.

I'm not happy with it. I tossed mine in the trash. It gummed everything up on my 835. I went back to hoppes #9.

Sorry folks. We had an enormous rain storm last winter that washed them away.

They're probably laying out there in the debris, under one of my old cars in the back.

If so, they will be recovered one day when I clean up that area.

I’ve been using Hoppe’s bore cleaner and oil, and for long-term storage I use WD-40 long-term corrosion inhibitor.

As for gun care products, there were more listed than I knew existed.

The ONLY product I use is G96 “Triple Action” Gun Treatment . G96 cleans, lubricates and protects. Heck, it even smells good too! The only down side to it, is the stuff is getting hard to find around here lately!
