Great Lesson in Life
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of 'the redistribution of wealth.'
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?'
She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'
Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, “Welcome to the Republican party”

President Joe Biden has only been in office for two months and American companies are already plotting their exit as they gear up for Biden’s crippling tax plan.

When you announce a planned corporate tax rate increase from 21 to 28 percent this will ripple across industry. What many consumers don't realize is that corporations will simply pass thru these increases to the consumers.
Corporations planning additional reinvestment and job growth in the U.S. have abandoned those plans as of today and, like Ford, will move some remaining production out of the states to save money.
So the average consumer will be faced with both higher prices and lost jobs. But the administration has got to pay for all these "free" things they promised and money they printed for bogus stimulus checks.
Remember the old saying, "There are no free lunches! "

To me that is a 33 1/3% tax increase. They will say it is 7%, but will collect one third more taxes. Inheritance, capital gains, the left have had their eyes on these for years. These are calculated actions the left has been chomping at the bit to implement for years.

Since the election we've heard that they plan to increase taxes on any "individual" making over $400,000 per year. Now the new party line is if "families" make more than $400,000 in total they will see a yet to be determined tax rate increase.
The one that will hit everyone is an increased tax on capital gains from sales.
Suspect we're going to see an increase in both the federal and state tax on fuel.

They're wanting to tax fuel for sure to make it as painful as possible, and even charge highway usage of your vehicle(s).
What they're wanting to do is make it hard for everyone so they'll want to switch to their damned battery powered cars. Which is going to be a disaster because the grid is not built for that and it won't end well. But they don't care. They're getting kickback money from people to push their agenda so they don't care if they cause the world to burn down around us.

Right now the border of the U.S. with Canada and Mexico are virtually locked down if you are a citizen of the U.S.. However, if you are a refugee from Central America, Asia, the Middle East, all you have to do is join a caravan and walk to our southern border.

I think I mentioned I read 1984 by George Orwell last month. Now I am about finish a book about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, then I have one about the signers of the constitution.

EXACTLY! Anytime the press uses a percentage it seems they hide the base figures. The dems want to use the taxable income as a denominator when the business people know damn well what the increase is when you use the previous tax rate as the base.
