Bidens Blunders

Let’s violate the law so we can justify all this reckless spending.

These people have been committing outright fraud for so long that it doesn’t bother them when it is blatant and overt.

I don't know if I posted this here at MO but it is going on a year old. Shows the CDC "advice" on filling out DCs... See link and read file below. LINK

Given Biden's position on the validity of amendments to the Constitution and given it's April 15th, tax day (atleast for paying estimated taxes) I think we should follow his lead and ignore the 16th amendment.

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states on the basis of population.

Happy non payment day!

US awards huge shelter contracts amid child migrant increase

Since February, the government has awarded about $3 billion in contracts to house unaccompanied children, more than $2 billion of which were no-bid contracts awarded to three recipients: Rome, New York-based Deployed Resources LLC; Family Endeavors Inc. of San Antonio; and Rapid Deployment Inc., based in Mobile, Alabama

The potential amount of the latest contract is more than 13 times the organization's total revenue during 2018, according to the latest annual tax filings available.

When travel stopped from Covid, lots of cheap hotels here went bust.

The govt is buying them up for homeless shelters.

Pretty quick, they will be burned down one by one, as the loonies living there unsupervised do stupid things. Like cooking drugs on a hot plate. Making wine in the closet. You get the idea.

Of course we will spend a whole bunch of tax money fixing them up first, before they burn down.

Most likely the contracts will go to Democratic donors. Probably have to be green as well and will cost 3X what they could be remodeled for. It's the nature of the beast.

If someone burns down the hotel making wine in the closet, something is bad wrong.

Oh, OK. That would make a lot more sense.

Not that I would know anything about making any kind of adult beverages. ;)

I included that because in college one of the kids started a fire in his dorm room by making wine in the closet. To speed up the fermentation process he wrapped an electric blanket around his plastic jug and put it in a cardboard box.

The next thing I know the fire alarms are going off and the fire department is hauling his smoldering box of homemade wine out of the dormitory.

DHS launches warning system to find domestic terrorism threats on public social media
https://archive.is/uaCeU

WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security has begun implementing a strategy to gather and analyze intelligence about security threats from public social media posts, DHS officials said.
The goal is to build a warning system to detect the sort of posts that appeared to predict an attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 but were missed or ignored by law enforcement and intelligence agencies, the officials said.

The focus is not on the identity of the posters but rather on gleaning insights about potential security threats based on emerging narratives and grievances. So far, DHS is using human beings, not computer algorithms, to make sense of the data, the officials said.
"We're not looking at who are the individual posters," said a senior official involved in the effort. "We are looking at what narratives are resonating and spreading across platforms. From there you may be able to determine what are the potential targets you need to protect."

The officials didn't describe what criteria or methods the analysts would use to parse the data. They said DHS officials have been consulting with social media companies, private companies and nonprofit groups that analyze open-source social media data.
"Domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today," said Sarah Peck, a DHS spokeswoman, adding that all DHS efforts against the threat "are carried out in close coordination with our privacy, civil rights and civil liberties experts and consistent with the law."
Law enforcement officers and intelligence analysts are legally entitled to examine — without warrants — what people say openly on Twitter, Facebook and other public social media forums, just as they can take in information from reading newspapers. But civil liberties groups generally oppose government monitoring of social media, arguing that it doesn't produce much intelligence and risks chilling free speech.

I find it concerning that the democrats could support armed militias burning down towns and call it social justice (let's face it, that's what they've been doing), while claiming that anyone else they are not supporting, are domestic terrorists.

This is a play straight out of nazi germany to try to demonize anyone that has a different point of view.

Just wanted to point out the obvious.

DC is loosening COVID restriction guidance. So DHS basically makes up a story about loosening restrictions being a potential driver for extremist activity.

Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland
The Secretary of Homeland Security has issued a new National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin regarding the current heightened threat environment across the United States. The Homeland is facing threats that have evolved significantly and become increasingly complex and volatile in 2021. These threats include those posed by domestic terrorists, individuals and groups engaged in grievance-based violence, and those inspired or influenced by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences. Social media and online forums are increasingly exploited by these actors to influence and spread violent extremist narratives and activity. Such threats also are exacerbated by the impacts from the ongoing global pandemic.

Duration
Issued: May 14, 2021 02:00 pm
Expires: August 13, 2021 02:00 pm
Additional Details
  • Violent extremists may seek to exploit the easing of COVID-19-related restrictions across the United States to conduct attacks against a broader range of targets after previous public capacity limits reduced opportunities for lethal attacks.
  • Historically, mass-casualty Domestic Violent Extremist (DVE) attacks linked to racially- or ethnically-motivated violent extremists (RMVEs) have targeted houses of worship and crowded commercial facilities or gatherings. Some RMVEs advocate via social media and online platforms for a race war and have stated that civil disorder provides opportunities to engage in violence in furtherance of ideological objectives.
  • Through 2020 and into 2021, government facilities and personnel have been common targets of DVEs, and opportunistic violent criminals are likely to exploit Constitutionally-protected freedom of speech activity linked to racial justice grievances and police use of force concerns, potentially targeting protestors perceived to be ideological opponents.
  • Ideologically-motivated violent extremists fueled by perceived grievances, false narratives, and conspiracy theories continue to share information online with the intent to incite violence. Online narratives across sites known to be frequented by individuals who hold violent extremist ideologies have called for violence against elected officials, political representatives, government facilities, law enforcement, religious or commercial facilities, and perceived ideologically-opposed individuals.
  • The use of encrypted messaging by lone offenders and small violent extremist cells may obscure operational indicators that provide specific warning of a pending act of violence.
  • Messaging from foreign terrorist organizations, including al-Qa‘ida and ISIS, intended to inspire U.S.-based homegrown violent extremists (HVEs) continues to amplify narratives related to exploiting protests. HVEs, who have typically conducted attacks against soft targets, mass gatherings, and law enforcement, remain a threat to the Homeland.
  • Nation-state adversaries have increased efforts to sow discord. For example, Russian, Chinese and Iranian government-linked media outlets have repeatedly amplified conspiracy theories concerning the origins of COVID-19 and effectiveness of vaccines; in some cases, amplifying calls for violence targeting persons of Asian descent.
  • DHS encourages law enforcement and homeland security partners to be alert to these developments and prepared for any effects to public safety. Consistent with applicable law, state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) law enforcement organizations should maintain situational awareness of online and physical activities that may be related to an evolving threat of violence.
How We Are Responding
  • DHS and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) continue to provide guidance to SLTT partners about the current threat environment. Specifically, DHS has issued numerous intelligence assessments to SLTT officials on the evolving threat.
  • DHS is collaborating with industry partners to identify and respond to those individuals encouraging violence and attempting to radicalize others through spreading disinformation, conspiracy theories, and false narratives on social media and other online platforms.
  • DHS has prioritized combatting DVE threats within its FEMA grants as a National Priority Area.
  • DHS remains committed to identifying and preventing domestic terrorism.
