Thanks for the add! I've just purchased my first Mossberg, an MVP LR in 7.62x51. First trip to the range today to get the Vortex 4-10x pointed where it shoots. My 15yo son took a few shots, too, he's left-handed. I intend to hunt whitetail deer and groundhogs, and just have a more precise rifle than my auto-loader 5.56's. I've competed with Service Rifle and rimfire 3-position since the 1980's. I really like the trigger on this, and I'm a little bit of a trigger-snob. The stock is very comfy, and the adjustable cheek was gem. Resting on my backpack with bargain-basement PMC ammo, I shot 1.5" at 100 yds. That's plenty good for my need. I'll be happy to carry it in the field.
