She's gorgeous!

I've got the Magpul PRS and that same CAA grip on my Bushmaster. That's a good looking set-up Veritas...

I am curious about what is up with the selector fire position. Why is it not straight up and down like it's supposed to be? I also noticed the mag catch looks very different.

Are there any stampings or engravings on the barrel in front of the front sight?

Any specific information you can give would help a lot.

Good eye John, I didnt notice those...

It is a great lookin rifle!!! I have an ARMS flip up front sight too! Love those! What scope mount is that?

The fire selector is a 45° version.
It's a comfort feature they install in all new rifles. Should be easier to use...! :)
The mag catch is a left-hand version from Norgon.

The tactical scope mount is made by the german company ERA TAC.
They stand for high durability and repeat accuracy.
Finally a nice tactical home made product! ;)

Are there any stampings or engravings on the barrel in front of the front sight?

You mean this line in front?
The barrel has a little bigger diameter at the place for the A2 or ARMS front sight.
There is a laser engraved text with cal. and producer information from the bottom of the barrel,
but it's not possible to see on these pictures.

Thank you for the reply.

It's the first 45 degree selector I've ever seen and that is why I asked about it.

As for the barrel, I was asking about the engraving to try to determine if it was a match olympic arms barrel (since they come in 1:8 twist as an option).

Contrary to popular belief, the 1:8 twist barrel is more versatile than a 1:7 that everyone seems to like more for some reason because it is capable of stabilizing a broader range of bullets from the lighter weight varmint bullets, or the heavy match/target bullets.

Some of the 1:7 twist barrels I've used struggle to stabilize the lighter (40 and 45 gr) varmint bullets that have proven to be very accurate for coyote hunting.

Nevertheless, you have a nice weapon.

NICE! I like those ERA Tac mounts, looks like they have some really nice stuff!

I want to get a mount like that, one that I've looked at is made by ARMS. Leupold makes one I like also, but I would kind of like to have the quick release mount.

Again, I'll agree with John, it is indeed a very nice firearm!

Thank you guys for the nice comments!

The best results i get with the 55gr ammo from GECO.
This ones i also use for matches.
For fun shooting the cheaper S&B 55gr is pretty good,
but with this as a left-hand shooter i get problems with the extracted shells.
They frequently shoot back directly to my face. So i prefer the GECOs...

This quick release mounts are really nice,
and the bigger levers are comfortable also using them with glooves.
If you can get one like this, don't think about. Take it!
I can't say anything negative about this stuff!

Veritas - most of the juicy details are covered but I'll add my two bits by saying NICE PICS! DSLR? Photoshop?? Always a pleasure to see a sweet shot of the good stuff.

Thank you mingaa!
Oh! I would like to have a DSLR and the knowledge of using Photoshop,
but this pictures i made with my older Panasonic TZ5. ;)
The only additional thing was a 500W floodlight.

regards Patrick

SWEET!

I was thinkin bout an AFG on my MOE forend too, what rail is that? Is it the MOE 11 slot or somethin else?

I had bought two five slot rails a while back and just mounted those. I did have to file down one of the backing nuts, but it was no big deal. I went out to the range to sight in my BUIS and have to say I'm impressed with the AFG. It gives a much better feel. I also like that when I grab on to it I automatically pull back on it a little bit and that gives me more stability and a better hold.
