Bought a new toy

Well the wife wanted a boat so we got a boat! it's a 2004 glastron GX185. It is in great condition. just a few upgrades (like a few more speakers and stainless cupholders) and it is good to go. It had tint on 3 of the 5 pieces of glass so i took the frames off and down to a tint shop and had them remove the old tint (since it's hard to match tint) and replace it with 5% limo. We rode in it(and even pulled tubes) before we bought it and then last weekend we took it down to north east of Dallas to see my uncle and went out and played on Lake Lavon(the boat ramp is real close to his house.) It was a blast!
Any boaters on here?

My boating consistes of a 12' Sea Nymph with a 40+ year old Evinrude 5 horse outboard. The only thing it will pull is a couple of spinner baits.

lol well this one only has 190HP... I think the fuel tank is a 29 galon tank and we were on the lake for 5 hours total and spent the better part of that tubing and driving around! we only used a 1/4 tank of gas!! I thought that was pretty good. It has the Volvo Penta motor and drive. My truck on the other hand guzzled it on the drive to texas and back.

Yeah it's my first. My wife grew up on the lake so she has been around boats a lot but i never was. It's fun so far lol

I scuba certified so maybe I'll find a few lol I don't know that I would need to carry all my guns on the boat with me.
I only took one spill on the tube... It was a little disorienting but not near as bad as what I thought it would feel like. I guess I'm still a little shy about falling off things since my motorcycle wreck.

Maybe you should add a 590 Mariner to the new boat...if you haven't heard pirates are making a comeback and you may want to pleasure boat off the coast of Somalia!

We have been very safe! The times we have gone out we have had the kids with us so that boosts my saftey by like 1000% lol

I've got a few speakers showing up friday and some tweets coming in on next tuesday to go with the 4 6" kenwoods that are already installed. I also have a fold away tongue showing up friday so that it will fit better in the garage(we had to scoot the boat forward on the bunks about 6 inches so we could get the trailer and boat inside.) and then it is going to be time to winterize it. I have been going back and forth about this because we have been planning on keeping it in the garage and i have a heater out there but i don't see us really using it this winter.

Well it's been a little bit since i updated about the boat... I'm working on installing a 2500 watt sub system into the small area under the rear seat. it is only 1 10" speaker and it is a beast! (53 lbs just for the speaker) anyways i have a few pictures. Enjoy!
