Here in the Peoples Republik of Illinois I'm pretty sure even the thought of applying for one gives the State Police reason to kick in your door and smack you around for a bit.

Maybe some day......

Strangely enough.....It's actually legal to own an AOW here in Illinois......but that's a short-list I sure as hell don't want my name on.
 
So, did you ever get approved and get your tax stamp?

I just did a google search for a review on the 14 inch Mossberg 590A1 and this thread was one of the hits so I thought I'd revive the thread.

I'm sure everyone would enjoy seeing the photos of your shorty Mossberg if you got it! :)
