Got my 801 Half-Pint Plinkster off to Mossberg for repairs today. Due to arrive next Thursday. Talked with Manny in CS and he told me what to do... then got an email response from an email I had sent to Mossberg telling me to do the same thing... so I did! I will let you know how it all turns...

Generally, do you know if Mossberg stocks parts? I looked in my 801 Plinkster Owner's manual for information about Customer Service. The manual told me to have ready the model number, serial number, part number and name from the exploded diagram. I called the number listed and was put on hold...

I would say at this minute I would have to lean towards the Savage. I have both rifles. The Savage seems to be better built and the company is still making them.
