.223/5.56 for HD/PD

Cecil, thats a really good price on that round, even shipped, still a good price!

Have to check out Natchez...

It took Natchez only 3 days to have the ammo to my door via UPS. It is reloaded ammo, not all new components, but it is Federal Lake City ammo. It comes in a heavily taped box with a sealed plastic bag inside. Next stop is the surplus store for an ammo can and ebay for stripper clips, boxes and the mag loading tools. The bandoleers are kinda hard to find though.

3 days is an incredible turnaround!

A friend of mine at work just put an order in with PSA and it seems theyre so backlogged on orders its gonna take 2 to 3 weeks! In the past theyve delivered here in 7 to 10 days...

PSA has some good stuff at good prices. It's no wonder they can't keep up.

Especially with the political climate.

I still want one of their flat top 20 inch 1:7's so I could add a detachable carry handle, change the front handguard cap and install the set of old vietnam vintage triangle handguards so I could have a retro'ish rifle.

When the Clinton Assault Weapons Ban expired in 2004 (ugh I hate that term), major companies were backlogged for months. I had my dealer license at that time and it was not uncommon to go 4 months before getting it in the mail.

I'm kind of surprised that we're already not backlogged worse than what it is.

If there is ever any sort of legal document about the 2A that hit the floor, it will be total chaos. Even individual small parts will be next to impossible to get. Let alone the big stuff.

I agree, John A. I also think after last Saturday's atrocity in CO, things will get much worse for us. I feel lucky to get the ammo that I have, but feel that there should have been some sort of at least an ID check before Natchez sold me my ammo. Just my 2c.

I'd say it depends on how you mean ID check.

It used to be that companies had to have a copy of your driver's license on file before they would send you the ammo. I always figured it was to prove your age. For all Natchez knows, they sent a thousand rounds of ammo to a 12 year old kid whose Dad was careless with his wallet. I guess even then, it still difficult to prove who you are and how old you are by just sending them a copy of your driver's license.
It just suprised me that it was that easy to buy ammunition online, that's all. It was the first time I had done it and I figured it would be more difficult.

I haven't ordered any kind of ORM-d materials with natchez, but other companies I have used in the past, there was a little checkbox you had to click that basically stated you were old enough to purchase the ammunition. 18/21 and pretty much relied on the honor system.

Kind of like porn sites, you have to be an adult to access those kinds of sites, but have to click and state that you are (whether you are or not)

As for a 12 year old accessing my credit card without my knowlege, that wouldn't fly in my household and they know it.

If my 13 year old ordered me 1000 rounds of ammo, heck I'd be speechless! How awesome a gift would that be! :D

Ok, on a serious note, yeah I've just checked boxes on like AmmunitionToGo and on PSA, and I'm completely ok with that.

AIM Surplus requires a photo copy of your ID to complete an ammo purchase. They have the option to upload a photo of your ID to your account profile...
