464 Iron sights shooting 1 foot too high

Hi there,
I have a 464 sighting in has been a bit of a problem as the factory fitted sights seem to shoot about 300mm ( 12 inches too high), even at the lowest setting.
Have any one else had this problem? I believe the factory fitted sights are "Marble" Brand.
I adjusted them by using a hack saw to notch out a 2mm slot see below.

I really like that last photo against the old gray fence. I have the pistol-grip version, but that pic makes me want the straight-grip model too!

Don't know what to tell you on it shooting high, except mine came w/ a 1/2" tall blade front site & I can't see what's on yours. Also, your rear site doesn't look like mine.
