464 or Henry

I looked at both an I could not get use to the safety right behind the hammer so I went wih the Henry h001. I like the Henry and it shoots nice I think I made the right choice. I like Mossberg and own several bu coul not buy the lever gun.

My brother had an old, beat too hell, 464 Mossberg in 30-30. I had to replace the rear sight after he bought it because it was so bent up... After I replaced that sight, properly adjusted it and took it to the range... It was a tack driver. I wish he wouldn't have sold it so soon after getting it. I probably would have bought it off of him in a month or so after that.....

Henry's are an amazing piece of equipment though too!

I own a Henry in .22 and a Mossberg 464 in .30-30.
Both are (to me) Great guns.

I came up with a solution to the Henry vs 464 problem.

Got one of each.

My 464 in 30=30 and the Henry in 357 Mag.
