464 range report

Took the Mossberg 30-30 out to the range today. No feeding problems and the groups are consistent even with a hot barrel.

I'm happy with what my Gunsmith did as explained in this thread.

The pic is of ten consecutive shots (5 in each target) at 25 yards. Didn't do well at 50 yards due to open sights and my eyes. Looks very good to me!!

I'll put a scope on later so I can see to shoot over 25 yards accurately. The Bullseye peep sight doesn't do well for me when shooting at targets.

That looks real solid!

I was doing better with 170 grn slugs myself, but that was at 50-100 yds.

I've never really checked the pattern at closer targets. I'd plug off a few, tweak the scope, then shoot for distance.

I mounted a scope right away on this one.
