I am thinking of installing the above linked scope on my cantilever barrel 20 gauge rifled barrel for the northeast whitetail woods where shots are usually fairly close. It is a 1.75 to 5 x 32 mm objective with eye relief of 3.5-3.7".
Is this enough eye relief for a 20 gauge that has a LimbSaver pad on the stock? Don't want to tattoo my face...Alternatively I have heard that the long 5" eye relief models (like the leupold vx-1 and Nikon slug scopes) may not even be able to be properly installed on a cantilever barrel. I have no idea if this is true as I've never scoped a cantilevered barrel.
