New member to this forum, appreciate all of the posts and pictures.
Looking at adding a HD gun, with an 18" barrel to help navigate my townhouse effectively.
I like the look and durability of the Mariner options, but am confused about the 590 version.
The 590a1 18" Mariner (50777) has the marinecote finish on the barrel and receiver. So does the 500 tactical version (50273). But the 590SP in an 18" model (50779) looks like it only has the marinecote on the receiver, and that the barrel is blued.
Mossberg lists a 20" 590SP Mariner (50299) on their website, but I want the 18" version.
Anyone have the 50779, and are the pictures correct, or does the entire gun (other than the stock) have the marinecote finish like the 50777 and 50273?
