Hi guys, I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this. I have a burr, which in pretty sure will shoot out with a couple slugs, but there is also a small hole in the crown. I didnt know if this was part of the manufacturing process. Any help is appreciated.
My JM Pro has absolutely no indication of a manufacturing process that could leave that kind of anomaly. I can see no machining marks on the muzzle tip (crown) of my weapon. I would also be a little surprised if that kind of a dimple could be made in the steel by a drop or mishandling. It almost looks like there is a machining tail coming off that dimple. If I could rule out me doing the damage, I would contact Mossberg. There have been some barrels on some other brands of rifles and shotguns that have found their way into the consumers hands with some "voids" in the steel.
