It seems we are headed back to the 60s. Protests turning into riots, ICE facilities literally being attacked. Demonstrators tearing down the American flag and running the Mexican flag up. Even attempting to firebomb government buildings.

Me thinks this time the effort is much more coordinated and has more financial backing, and the organizational power afforded by social media makes last minute gatherings much easier. It's becoming a dangerous time and the consequences could be very bad.

One political party even condones the actions and encourages sych activity, then blames the president for everything.

    What do you think ?

    I agree.

There are many amongst us, and many people outside of us who are not only condoning but financing a lot of this crap.

The catholic church has even made it known that they will harbor and hide and shelter and feed fugitives. Tons of articles and reports on this coming from all across the country and are not isolated incidents.

Very important quote from one of the links below:
    https://www.immigrationreform.com/2017/12/13/heaven-help-us-churches-illegal-aliens/

    https://religionnews.com/2017/03/17/sanctuary-for-the-undocumented-comes-with-legal-consequences/

Many "news media" outlets are reporting from hard left point of views and they are a huge source of the agenda and trouble in our country.

Many politicians are not only openly embracing but pushing socialist and communist policies. And instead of being tarred and feathered and publically humiliated there are many who are openly supporting it.

Yes, the US is in a downward spiral.

Yes, I do think it is going to lead to bloodshed. Then a power vacuum and then I don't pretend to know where it's going to go from there. Even being invaded by outside sources is a very real possibility at that point.

In related news, I would be lying if I said I would be sad if some loudspoken socialist bodies started deservedly dropping... Some must sacrifice so the rest can live! ;)

I agree what'd been stated in all the previous posts. One of the main reasons I never leave my house unarmed. I carry concealed everywhere I legally can. Antfa, BLM, etc...
I believe race relations were set back decades with Obama taking sides with lawbreakers and thugs before facts were revealed.
The disrespect for law enforcement and lawlessness was also reinforced by Obama.
The new Progressives are nothing more than than socialists trying to change the very nature of the United States.
The Constitution, Bill of Rights and Rule of Law are all under assault.

I believe the ultimate goal is to have a new USA under a Socialist regime.

The news media in this country, for the most part, promote the left and do not condone the violence coming from leftist groups. Yet, they are quick to jump on the president's every word and spin it to their liking.

Obama sided with the wrong side every chance he got, and yet there was no outcry from the media. I personally blame him for the blood of many law enforcement officers (Dallas come to mind), and yet he and his minions got a free pass. I also think his group, Organizing For America, is the coordinating are behind so many of the protest going on since he left office.

This past two and a half years has been like a Tom Clancy novel. Not sure what the name will be. From the top rungs of the FBI, to the former heads of the CIA and NSA, all of them having an open invitation to appear on the left leaning news (sic) programs slewing their vile rhetoric.

Thankfully this president has had the opportunity to put two supreme court justices on the bench and many more at lower levels. Hopefully he will get the opportunity to add another in the very near future, and if not, the next term for sure.

Forgot one more thing. In reference to what John said. People all over the world watch the news. I have no doubt that makes it even more difficult for the president to conduct foreign relations. North Korea and Iran being two prime examples. In some cases we even have former high level agency heads ( Kerry and Clinton and Obama) openly visiting our enemies and advising them. Seems like treason to me.

I also think some governments are watching the goings on here very carefully and planning for the what if scenario. Maybe I'm crazy, then again, maybe I'm not so far off.

One difference from the 1960's to now...back then the left did not trust or like the government. Now they think that the only way to live is by having the government tentacles in every aspect of our lives.
