I have done extensive barrel break-ins using the 10 shot/clean method I have shot the piss out of them straight out of the box. I have yet to see the difference between any of them. If my guns print as well as yours is on that target, I'm satisfied.

Djcala .30-06 Supporter Oct 13, 2017 #3 Im with john on this one. Ive tried both ways meticulous break in procedure and also buy it clean it shoot it. I dont think rigorous break in procedure ever made any real difference.

Personally J never saw a difference, but I am not a terget shooter per say. My friends that are and shoot long range swear by breaking them in. Regardless the barrel will wear over time so things may change.
