Barrel Question

Security Barrel, Breacher - 18.5"
Now the question. Can the breacher end of the 18.5 inch Breacher Barrel be removed with out using a hacksaw?

Sure, if you trade me for my non-breacher barrel... I'm looking for one... :) Pm me, I'll send you pics and vise versa

PS: to answer your question, I don't know how to get the breacher end off. I would imagine it is soldered on and removal may leave a barrel length shorter than "legal" size...

Typically the breacher is included in the measurement and welded in place. Removing it may make the barrel shorted than 18" and and put your gun into a different classification. Best option is as Bobster mentioned find someone who wants it and either sell or swap for what you want.

I have been looking for one and thought if I buy one then well maybe I could remove it. I thought about it may being to short after words. I do not have one in my possession, and Bobster I do not want to give that impression just so you know.
Mossberg has one on sale now for $150.00.

Yeah, a bukfiddy is still too rich for my tastes... :( If you want a "security" barrel, Midway and others routinely have them on sale for $100 or less...

Besides, I already have a breacher barrel! ;) The other pic is of an OEM barrel.
