Bead sight thread specs.

I bought my 5-40 tap at MSC. Or was it 6-48? There are some smaller sizes as well that I bought at the same time. I can't remember the particular sizes... But I keep Mossy beads in the toolbox because they can be used in a stripped out smaller hole in a different brand, if necessary. The gun will never know the difference... ;)

Thanks Bob! I'm planning on adding a heat shield to my Shockwave. I want something taller and bigger. It's a guy thing, I'm sure you understand. ;0)

5-40
6-48 are the standard thread pitches.

As Old Mossy pointed out, 5-40 is pretty regular for mossbergs, though I know they've changed their scope mount hole sizes before so I wouldn't feel comfortable saying they're all 5-40. Especially their imported shotguns like the silver reserve2 double barrel because they get those from Turkey. I don't know what size those are.
