    For the long version see the Savage 12 Varminter thread.

    SHORT VERSION:

    Savage 12 Low Profile Varminter SS, 24" bull barrel, 1-9 twist, 5-shot mag.
    Hornaday Match 75 grn BTHP/25grn Varget, once-fired Rem brass, hand matched, CCI BR-4 primers.
    Loaded on my Rockchucker IV with Hornaday American dies.

    6 rounds, Calm day, 100 yards sub MOA group= my best grouping ever.

    Yeah it is. So much I bought three presses. I'm set up to do 12 gauge, 16 gauge, .223, .30-30, .45ACP , 9mm .38/357 & .380auto.

    So far I have not tried the .380 auto dies or the .45 ACP. Everything else came out really well except I'm having trouble making a good .30-30

    Wouldn't you know it? o_O

    I shot these with my 223 handloads from 230 yards.

    That's not my very best shooting, but I'm really happy with the way those loads work.
