middle one at first looks like 8mm Lebel, but longer case neck and shorter bullet... .30-30 maybe?

If they are some older american calibers, hardly I could identify them :(
bebore I read the quiz, and just saw the picture I tought the first one was some autocanon ammo because blue bullet :D

Yeah, I figured those would be the hardest ....I kinda cheated ya, being old American rounds. Most Americans couldn't name them.....including me before I got them

Right to left 351 SLR, 25-35 WCF and a 32-40

first one sounds like some V-8 :D... I totaly didn't hear about those... I was guessing some sort of Marlin ammo, but bullet diameter was too small...

yes yes, I understand those measures, I was making a joke because if I remember right Ford V8 had 351cui engine, and SLR is a Mercedes model with V8 =)...

but back to the point, IMHO metric sistem is better
because things get complicated when you have something like:
.45-70 - .450" diameter / 70 gr. black powder
.30-06 - .300" diameter / 1906 year of invention
.22-250 - .220" diameter / and what the hell "250" stands for?

or:
.38 spc - you expect bullet to be .380" diameter but it's .357"...
.357 Mag - which is .357" in diameter...

where bullets are actually the same .357 caliber right? and you can shoot .38spc out of .357 revolver...

and I think you could shoot even 9x19mm if you make certain preparations on the drum, and some loading clips?

in metric is always the same... diameter of bullet in mm x lenght of the case without bullet in mm

maybe because I'm more used to it, but it's more uniform and easyer to understand...
but OK, even we use some "names" that are not metric. like .45ACP, .44Magnum which would realy be stupid to convert because that markings are legendary...
while we use term ".50BMG" almost the same as "12,7x99", but mostly just "12,7"... if it's 12,7x108, than that's accented "12,7 RUSSIAN"...

P.S. .30-30 was loaded with BP at first?!?
