Condor Outdoor Tactical Gear

L.E.S. I have 4 of the Condor 25rd shotgun reload pouches on my vest along with the Tornado holster. Love them all. I also run a 20 round drop leg shell holder not sure of who makes it but I carry about 120rds. Plus 2 Condor pistol Magazine pouches for my Springfield .45 XD. Yes it's a little heavy but all the weight is spread out so it really comfortable opposed to the old LBE I wore while in the Army LOL.
The best part is the equipment Condor makes is pretty rugged I've put some of the gear through hell and it's held up very well.

Very nice!

Good to hear their gear has worked out for you. Thanks for the feedback and I look forward to putting my rig through the paces when I get it all put together.

My Condor Cross-Draw Vest arrived this week!

This thing is SOLID. It's got a ton of adjustment for a fully customizeable fit. Cinched up a few straps and it fits like it was made for me. I loaded it up with three full AR mags, six full pistol mags, a 1911, and the hydration pack + tool pouch. Even with all the added weight it was still very comfortable. I doubt I'll be running any marathons in it, but it doesn't limit my range of motion at all. I'm still waiting on a few more pieces to complete the rig and I'll get some pics up when I get it all put together.

Ahhh, you're killing us man! Can't wait to see it put together, but even empty it looks like a nice piece of gear.

Haha, sorry man!

It really is a great vest and I can't get over how comfortable it is. Of course I got the expected laughter from the wife when she walked in the room while I was wearin the vest fully loaded out and my AR hangin from my single-point.

Picked up a couple more MOLLE pouches today. One was a second 25rd reload pouch for the drop-leg rig and the other was this 12rd Shotshell Pouch I got for $9.95...

The internal elastic webbing holds a dozen shells firmly in place and ready for a quick reload...

The pouch can be easily attached to MOLLE webbing or to a belt...

Shotgun Ammo Pouch

With this new 12rd pouch riding on my belt, plus the two 25rd reload pouches, I'll be able to carry up to 62 extra shells at the ready.

Also replaced the holster on the vest. I wasn't happy with the plastic clasp retention on the that came with it. The clasp was hard to open and the strap was always in the way, making the draw very slow and awkward. Swapped it out for the 1911 Ambidextrous model that I picked up today for $19.95...

1911 Ambidextrous Holster

Description :

- Modular design for left or right hand.
- Retention system with secondary elastic cord to secure weapon.
- One single pistol mag pouch included
- Three different models for 1911, Beretta, Glock or similar pistols.
- Each holster comes with two removable MOLLE straps.

The single snap closure on this one is perfect and the straps stay clear of the pistol making the draw super smoothe. I like it a LOT better than the one that came on the vest.

Is that the Specter Gear Holster? Mine is just like that!

It looks great LES! I'm with Sneaky though! I want MORE!!! :D

And if you have yet to vote in the ST. Patricks Day photo contest to have a say in determining the winner of the $50 Brownells gift card, dont forget to do so! One day left!!! The topic is at the top of every section on the forum so go find it and vote!!!

Nope, the holster is also Condor.

I'm sure there are a lot of companies that use a similar pattern. I plan on getting some pics of the finished rig this weekend, so keep your eyes out for updates...

Finally got the Condor rig all put together for some pics. Here it is loaded up with:

- STI Spartan V 9mm
- 9 extra 9mm 1911 mags (81 extra rounds)
- Desert Eagle MK VII
- 3 extra MK VII mags (27 extra rounds)
- 3 AR-15 mags (90 extra rounds)
- 62 shot shells

...and here's the hydration pack and tool kit on the back side...

Thanks fellas.

It looks very nice the Condor rig!!!
Do you have an idea of the weight when it is loaded up like on the pic?

Haven't had an opportunity to weigh it yet. It's not exactly light, but it's still comfortable to wear when full loaded...

LES! Thats totally sweet and looks well thought out functionally!

I know they get heavy, but when its ballanced out they ride well.

Man, I need to update my thread, though its kinda all patchwork like, not nearly as sweet as this! Nice man, real nice work!!!

Thank you Sir!

That means a lot coming from a fellow gear man. It does balance well and is surprisingly easy to move around in when fully loaded.

Nice setup LES! I am building mine as well. I am setting it up for shotgun and pistol as I do not have an AR yet.
I started out with a Spec-Ops Over Armor vest for mine. I am pretty much sticking to the MIL-Surplus items as I have experience with those, and for the most part it is good kit. Also pretty cheap. I will post a new topic with pics when I get it done so I don't hijack your thread.
How well does the holster secure your Spartan? It has been my experience that alot of universal holsters do not fit very well.
I also like the idea of the tool kit, but I think for my purposes it would be better in the BOB to save a little weight on the vest. I have one of the big OTIS weapons cleaning kits that I will use as the basis for my tool kit. It comes in a nice MOLLE pouch like yours.
Again, nice setup!

What do you guys think about starting a Vest/Gear/BOB thread? I think it would be cool to see, compare and get ideas from other people.

I like the Spec-Ops vests! They certainly look to be very well made!

My experience with my universal full size holster is that it works well, it holds my 1911 in place in the locked and loaded or condition 1 with no problem. I'm told this will work for a full size Beretta too.

I think if you plan to get an AR down the road TCecil, youll really appreciate the modular vest!
