Not sure. I don't see it on my end. Could be that someone is "watching" the thread for replies but that is just a guess on my part.
 
It means that YOU are watching the topic and will be notified of any subsequent replies.
 
If you want to remove the glasses, go into the topic near the top right of the screen where it says unwatch and click it.

Just know that you will not get email notifications if someone replies to your topic by doing so.
