Does anyone make a tactical...ish....stock for the 702?

Or even one for a gun similar enough that I can shoehorn it together? I'm thinking of getting another 702 but I want an adjustable butt like my ATI Knox setup for my 10/22. Nothing fancy...I just want the 6-position telescoping stock.

I have not seen a tactical stock for the 702 produced yet.

Nothing I know of for the 702. Some say that those made for the Marlin 60 adapt with a little finesse but I have no 1st hand knowledge of that. FWIW I have a 702 and it's not a gun I'm going to throw a lot of money at. I mounted a very basic sling (it weighs 4 lbs - no reason to go overboard) and have a fistful of 10 round mags and a Simmons 3-9x32 scope on it. I can shoot 1" groups at 100 Yds. when I'm "on". Not bad for a inexpensive 18" barrel plinker 22LR.

Here's 3 range reports from earlier this month (50 yds standing and bench + 100yds bench) I have target pics if anyone is interested:

The most exciting thing I have planned is to set it up as a 'survival' gun (riffing off the Henry 22LR) - I'll use the accessible voids in the plastic shell - enlarging the lower rest size + volume and add some molle packs to the sling. It should be a fun exercise - I have my supplies and will post photos as I go and maybe a poll of weather I can make it all fit or not!! I should have some info up early next week. :ugeek:

How did it go? Where are the ones you've "Seen" built with it? I am having problems getting the reciever to fit in the stock and I have removed ALOT of the plastic. any help would be very very helpfull sir. Thanx!
