I really like the .308 for purposes of utility and SD.
Very accurate, even with the iron sights, and I'm sure if I put a decent scope on it, it would shoot about MOA.
Great survival rifle, very easy to work on and very solid: steel upper, steel lower.
Put me at the border with this thing!!haha

here are my firearms so far. Glock 22, a Pa-63 (9x18) , and my mossberg 715t. I also have a 30-06 not pictured. next is another Glock, Not sure what model yet, and a mossberg 500. looking for a AR also. but thats a year or more away.

I just picked up this 4X4 in 30-06. I added a Weaver scope to it. I've only had it to the range once, and while it was accurate enough, I'm still planning to take it back and try to refine my accuracy.

Other than me buying it 20 years ago Ive got nothing! A friend of mine is a colt collector and he gave me the name of the person at colt that is in charge of finding the history of peoples firearms, and It seems that at some time in colts history there was a disaster at the location of all their records and paper work was lost, and mine was included. They would have been able to tell me who it was made for, when and where it was shipped, so the gun is a mystery. There were a number of colt lightnings made in various calibers, but the baby was made lighter than the rest and in fewer numbers, and this one is from the mid 1880s making it a great find!
Im always making changes and last night I made a few a took a new shot, my colt friend is going to give me a couple 44-40 that I will photo and add in this weekend.

No camo needed from 100+ yards! That setup will hold 3 inch groups at 200 yards with remmy AccraTips shooting off a Caldwell lead sled.

OH SNAP! that's great. I want to get another one...just for slugs....and I'll be going to the LGS tomorrow. Just my luck the kid wants some chippewa boots and the cheapest I could find em was the gun store!! yay for me!
