the big joke all my friends say about my dogs is "pet me and you can take whatever you want"

How’s everyone’s pooches doing?

Mine is growing like a weed. Been working a lot with him on leash walking. He is 5 months old in a couple of days . He sits and lays down with just hand commands , can shoot around him no problem and on New Year’s he was a little concerned with the fireworks, sounded like a battle, but I took him right out into the middle of it and after about 5 minutes he was just watching them no problem. So glad I got him, improved the quality of my life by a lot.
He only has about half of his puppy teeth left and his ears ate about 70% up.

He is changing color too…look at his other puppy pic back a few posts

When he gets real good on the flat collar he is getting one of these. I’ll get the packs and molle panels to hook to it so he can pack ammo or whatever, they have cold panels for it too

….need to get a cart or something because It is killing me trying to wear him out on hikes...I am getting old and he is already super strong

This is Nightmare the cocker spaniel

YoungNightmare.jpg

If she hears gunfire in a video game or on television she comes running and barking like the house is being invaded. Can't stand water, or even slightly muddy ground... or dew... or a lawn sprinkler. She's a real Southern California dog...

Sadly, when they gave out smart, she snuck back in line for more cute. She barks at anything and everything, but I wouldn't count on her to get a mugger off me.

Here she is at my 4th of July bbq... it was in the mid 90's that day.

Our HD dog believes she is an indestructible tank. She has the heart of a Pit Bull. Once she got off the leash and got hit by a car. When I saw it happen, I just KNEW she was dead, until she came running out from UNDER the car! I was in shock! She barks at any and all unknown sounds, even rain, LOL. Since she's small of stature, I don't have to worry about hitting her if I have to shoot an intruder, too.

Our Pug, Sophie Marie.

About 6 months old

Great first warning system!

Annie on the left Half Chocolate Lab & Half Boxer.
Bosco on the right Full Chocolate.
They hate the sound of guns but LOVE to swim.
I can throw a stick in the lake and they both hop in there and swim their hearts out to get it.
That is until about the halfway mark to the stick.
Then Annie treads water and waits while Bosco gets the stick.
As he is swiming by her on the way back, she attacks him and takes the stick.
She always gets to finish the retrieve. The definition of BITCH... LOL!!

Besides the wife, they are absolutely the LOVES of my life.

Don't let that intense stare fool you, he's actually a pretty terrible guard dog, he LOVES everyone, and he's an even worse Hunting dog (hates Thunder much less when I fire off a gun), but my wife LOVES him (and I like him pretty good myself) so we'll keep him around:

I think everyones dog here is an awesome dog. I need to get some more pix of my dog Loki up here soon.....

Sam is my Black Lab who is now almost eight. Best dog I've ever owned. He's becoming a Flabrador cuz he's gotten so lazy. Bailey is our 2-year old Chocolate who is the most rambunctious 110-mph dog I have ever owned. And she's freakishly tall and lanky for a female lab. She weighs almost 100-lbs. She's a mess, but she's our mess and we love her.

Cinnamon is a miniature Shih-Tzu who is the absolute sweetest lap dog in the world. He cuddles up as close as he can get to anyone who will sit still.

Even his big brother.

We lost half of our tactical dogs on the 16th.
It has been rougher than I could have imagined.

This is a pic that my wife made and the write up she put on Facebook.

On Wednesday, our baby girl was diagnosed with bone cancer in her back leg. Being an 'old lady' (11 years old), and overweight, amputation was not an option. We were told we had a couple of weeks. The very next day, she was not even able to walk. She was in a lot of pain, and not even the pain meds were helping. We made the decision on Thursday to not let her suffer anymore. As painful as this has been on us, we know she is no longer in pain. She was everything we could ever want, and so much more... Rest in peace, sweet little girl. We love you so much!

LTB I'm saddened by this news. I hope you find comfort in knowing she's not in pain anymore. I lost a few of my pets so I know how you feel. To honor my dog Drexler I am in the process of making a box to keep his ashes in....
