fitting Tech- sights to a 464

hello,
I have been lurking and planning
and yesterday my SAV-200 sights came in...

Yes, Virginia, the Savage tech sights do fit

The front sight is a simple drift out the Williams and drift in the threaded dvetail lock block

I really wanted a finer front post and the wings are an added bonus

The rear took a tad of effort as the savage spacing is 1/2 inch and the Mossberg is 3/8ths

I drew a centerline, aligned the drill points and drilled then counter sunk the new holes

both the front and rear mount profiles are a perfect match to the Mossberg

this was a one screw pre test before i bored the mount points

my final dril point is a hair closer so the sightbase is right inline with the reciever cut

oh and in case you are wondering the factory ATI stock and tube are commercial sized

The magpul moe with the Larue RISR is perfect for comb height and solid

the front sight is part of a matched set for a savage 22
and I figured it would be adjustable to zero at 50

I will see if this is the case
if i need to, I can trim the front sight pin
