Good morning

Good afternoon Mossberg Owners.

I got outside today and worked on my truck, then took my wife shopping. I also got some fiberglass cloth and epoxy on the holes in my boat, and the second coat of cloth on the top. That will have to cure before I start sanding again.

I don’t mind putting epoxy under the boat, but I hate to sand on my back under the boat.

I got the Sanyo quad all wired up, and it sounds pretty good. There are seven boxes with 14 drivers but you don’t see them in this photo.

FM reception is phenomenal because I used the steel dog kennel roof framing as an FM dipole antenna.

There’s the connections.

I just lucked out & the alignment of this antenna is perfect, as it points up and down the whole state of California. The impedance seems to be matched very well. Sensitivity is good & adjacent channel rejection is acceptable for a non-digital tuner.

Just a shout out to all you guys who are posting gun related things on the good morning thread.

This is kind of the off-topic BS thread, and serious stuff about your new guns & equipment should perhaps be posted in the regular forum sections.

Then, just put a link here if you want us all to see it without searching.

I don’t think new guns are available in California right now so you won’t have to worry about looking for my stuff. LOL

Good morning,

Work is going better so far. A change of schedule, some herbal supplements recommended by my therapist and a liberal amount of stouts is really starting to change things and I'm starting to enjoy it more.

Cheers.

Good Morning MO's!!

Got the dates set for my KY turkey hunt yesterday and enjoyed a little of a 70° day. Hoping they continue but I know its still to early to leave winter behind.

Good morning to all of yous. Clear and 57 . The high later should be in thr low 70s with windy conditions.

Have a great day and be safe.

Good afternoon Mossberg Owners

Today I’ve been mostly messing around with my aquariums trying to improve the filtration on the main system.

I’m pretty impressed with the way the old Sanyo quad receiver is putting out. I’m experimenting with different crossover circuits, trying to get a smoother sound.

I heard Joe Biden’s latest TV fiasco and it’s a wonder they don’t come for him with the white coats.

Good Morning MO's!!

My wife's oldest brother passed yesterday, he was only 60.He'd been in bad health for a while but as I get older and seeing more and more people closer to my age go it hits home more and more how little so much of the stuff we have and deal with on a daily basis really matters.

Also dealing with my family's drama over some family cabins in upper MI.

The Hell you say, he's a unifying, animal planet loving genius who should be commended for articulating so clearly what most American are thinking in their hearts or farts. I will forever recall where I was when he stepped from the depths of his basement bunker on his broken foot, fearless of seeing his shadow and brought us together as no other President had done. All Hail Biden!!!!!!

I really hate drama, but I like sarcasm.

I also picked up a new paper shredder. This thing is a beast, I ran 30 years of bank statements, cancelled checks, and various other document's through it in a couple hours with no issues. Should have bought a bigger one years ago. I've yet to have this one overheat and only overloaded it once.

My only complaint is that they have too small of a catch bucket. Wish they would make them so you can set them on top of a garbage can (natively without having to cut holes in the catch basin). I had an old ribbon cutting paper shredder years ago that would work that way and it was awesome.

Good morning . Clouds, windy, and 64. Rain forecast off and on for the next few days. Looks like some severe weather in the mix as well. Ah, springtime, lol.

Gas has gone from about a buck 90 a gallon to two fifty since January 20. I know it's just a coincidence.

Anyways, you all have a great day.

Good that you could find a strong one. Mine has digested a few too many staples over the years. Luckily with the advent (or curse) of on line bill paying, my shred pile is not nearly as intimidating..

Gas always goes up for spring, but with nearly the highest gas tax in the country, we haven’t seen true buck ninety in a decade.lol I don’t drive much, so only fill up every month or so, so never pay the same twice. I fill up at the local tribal station, which is always 10-20/gal cheaper than the closer stations, due to their untaxed status. And when not in a pandemic, I enjoy using their huge casinos. Lol

I quit burning and shredding decades ago. I just put anything that I want to disappear into a wastepaper basket, drain some stinky aquarium water Over it and wait one minute, then pour off the excess, bag the rest in plastic, and throw it in the garbage.

The only thing that rots faster than a dead fish is fish poop off the bottom of an aquarium. One day in the trash and that will be the stinkiest, moldiest mess you can imagine. Some of the ink will not run, but what does run runs over everything, and makes it all murky.

Of course the brown fish poop makes it all murky, & I add in some poopy fish filter floss just for fun.

Good afternoon Mossberg Owners.

We had a lovely rain last night and another one today, so no boat fixing for me.

Today, I am limping around on a sore foot, as I have a touch of bursitis.

I’ve mostly been sitting around, scrapping out an old power supply and watching TV while I peeled apples for an apple pie.

It is cooling now and I am going to go make myself a hot toddy.

Then, I’m going to sit under the awning and watch my steak barbecue on the grill.

Beautiful day in western New York. Car temp gauge was at 71 F. Shot a round of sporting clays with good friends. Drinks and munchies at the club house. Good time.

Used my M500 flex pump with the long barrel. Wanted to test it after adding a MCARBO trigger spring kit and magazine tube follower. Also a rattle can receiver and mag tube paint job. Getting the factory mag tube out was a chore. The gun ran flawless. The trigger spring kit and mag follower worked great. Trigger is sensitive but very responsive. This is a good thing for shooters that recognize good trigger pull discipline.

Good morning,

Rained off and on all day today with beautiful sky to go with it, looking like thunderstorms tomorrow. Went on a short hike after work and climbed a hill that I've never climbed before. Came home covered with mud and happy as a clam.

Great news. If you can take a firearm with you and take a shot or shots at a safe target to practice your marksmanship the hill is a plus.
