Daughter and her husband got me me a patriot 270 camo for my birthday. Wanted a new rifle since last fall after my 7mm mag beat me to death sighting it in. Looking forward to shooting the patriot. Any suggestions on scope? Thinking nikon buckmaster

I think the Vortex diamondback is a great value, or the viper if you can afford it.

Dad was stationed with SPADS at Larson AFB, Moses Lake , Wash. That was the early 60s.
(SPADS was the Spokane Air Defense Sector.)

Nikon is good stuff as far as I've heard as well as vortex. Redfield Revolution is decent and reasonably priced and then Leupold at the higher end.
