Early Thursday morning a Jackson, MS man shot three would-be robbers as they tried to enter his home.

Three armed men apparently broke into a home on Myrtlewood drive shortly before 2am. One suspect was shot in the head, he was taken to the hospital when police arrived on the scene. We’re told he suffered life-threatening injuries. Another man, who was shot in the chest, managed to make it across the street. He was found around 6am, Thursday morning, by some neighbors. They told our reporter on the scene and she called police to report the suspect. He was taken to the hospital and is now listed in critical condition. The third man escaped in homeowner’s vehicle.
Police say they do not expect the homeowner to be charged with a crime.
