I like it. Can't own one in the socialist republic on NY State but we will survive thru pics of yours!!!

Just added Magpul furniture and the MS3 sling. Has Choate tube extension.

That is one sweet looking Mossy. Just curious - why the 2 piece sling configuration? I'm just asking because I haven't found the ultimate sling arrangement for my 590A1 yet.

It's not two pieces, it's the Magpul MS3 sling. That's just how it adjusts. It actually is the ultimate sling. You can run it as a 1 point or a two point. The paraclips have tabs that lock them closed, I was impressed.

Ok, I get it. I have one of these slings for my AR15. So your intended use is dual purpose. Carry 2 point when required and switch to one point when you need to. Flexibility is the driver.

Nice! That Magpul sling is a great product. It's adaptable to the AR platform, shotgun, battle rifle. You could use it on a bolt gun if you wanted to.

I found an old corncob stock set on eBay for my Shockwave. I ain't no wood worker (I don't even own the proper tools), but I figured for $20, it might be a fun way to kill a few hours in my garage. The forend was 8" long, so I had to cut a few inches off the front in order to make it fit the short action tube. Had to reshape the channel for the forend nut. Also had to widen the rear portion a bit so it would clear the heavy barrel profile. I've deepened some of the corncobs with a dremel and it's ready for staining. The bird's head grip is going to take me a while. I plan on shaping it by hand with a belt and palm sander.

If it turns out like crap, I'll only be out $20 and maybe I'll have learned something about wood shaping so I can try again. Or go back to OEM if I lose a finger on the belt sander...

If you look closely, you can see the XS big tritium dot front sight. I just threw the picatinny rail on there to see what it felt like to use a Venom red dot. I didn't like it at all. But the UTG Pro rail has a nice U-shaped channel down the center that actually frames the front sight really well. I may keep it on as a rear sight.

I just got this not long ago... I didn't think it would be possible to love a firearm as much as I love this thing. It now has a Magpul M-Lok Forend, VCS DSAC, VCS Stainless Steel Mag Follower, and VCS Big Speed Safety. Really thinking of getting rid of the bead sight in favor of an XS Big Dot Tritium sight.
