And some village idiots in Il just passed an ordnance (I would stop short of calling it a law) that prohibits most semiautomatic firearm ownership and a $1000 fine a day for anyone caught violating their decree.

I hope that letter is legit. And, I hope they're really ready to go to battle over it too. Makes one think they (the local gov't) are testing the waters more than anything, with all this ridiculous chatter about repealing the 2A. I wish Trump and the Republicans would stand up and speak directly to it and shut it down forthwith. No if's, and's or but's.
