Installing sling swivel studs on 702

Yes, that did help.
I made the hole small enough where I had to work to get the screw started.
It seems like they are in there very solid.

I've borrowed a sling from another rifle but it is working well.
Just ordered a "GI Cotton Web Sling" for it.

Thanks

I found that the front stud location plastic is very thin. Use a "nut and bolt" type of stud.

BTW this rifle is MORE then worthy of a bipod and scope for accuracy.

Or, rather than the nut/bolt combo you can back fill the segmented portion of the stock with some epoxy to further support the front mount. There is plenty of material in the rear but, as peteinpa points out the front stock attachment will be through much thinner synthetic material.

I ordered the uncle mikes swevel studs also. Along with a flash hider for a 10/22

I cant bring myself to spend $40. for a bipod just yet, they do look nice on these black guns though ill admit.

I must say there is nothing more fun then taking an inexpensive .22 and tricking it out with goodies that cost more then the initial price of the gun!
