The super cool custom limited gun thread got me thinking about this but I didn't want to hijack it.
On shooting USA they built a pretty cool one for just under a thousand. Started with an M&P 40, and added an Apex Tactical competition action kit that got the trigger down under 3 pounds. then added a tungsten guide rod, new recoil spring, and mag well from speed shooter specialties, and magazine base plates from Taylor freelance bringing capacity up to 20. A Storm Lake Match barrel, and an Apex RAM, which alters the reset.
Pretty cool to be able to spend that much and have a gun that will run with the big boys. Any misses will be on you. Is it as awesome as a full custom speced out to you? Of course not. But it's better than most of us.
So anybody else have any recipes?
