Looking for a tactical light adaptor for Mossberg 500 SPX

I just purchased a new Mossberg 500 SPX model 51523:

I'm looking for a way to attach a tactical light to the shotgun without changing the forend.

I was looking at this Elzetta model:

I don't think however that there is quite enough room for that mount between the front of the slide and the barrel mount on the tube. Does anyone know of something that will definitely work to solve my light mounting issue? Thanks.

DHonovich, our forum owner, started out with something very similar.

He used a LaserLyte tri-rail and Streamlight TLR-1 I believe.

LaserLyte Shotgun Tri-Rail

Its mounted to a similar Mossberg.

Super, thanks for the information - I think that's exactly what I need. Apparently, the item I mentioned will work, but one must utilize a dremel to hone it down a bit. It seems silly to pay that kind of money for something that you then have to work on. This one, at 1.5 inches should readily fit in the notch on the tube. Also, thanks for the welcome aboard.
