Magazine capacity if you mix 2 3/4" and 3" shells?

SA-20 Tactical magazine capacity is listed as 5+1. Rep with Customer Service says this is with 2 3/4" shells not the 3".

I know I could put a 3" shell in the chamber without changing the magazine capacity.

Question: Has anyone tried putting four 2 3/4" shells in the magazine plus one 3" shell giving the same five shell capacity but with one of them being a 3"?

Would this work?

You might be able to do that. Depending on the crimp type the shells will be different actual length by 1/8" or so than others. In my 590 I can stuff 8 of one crimp style, but only 7 of another style.
