Magazine Cleaning

Is there a way to disassemble the mag tube on the 88 for the purpose of cleaning & lubing it?

Mine is not dirty, as such, but I just bought it a few days ago & have removed, cleaned & lubed every other part so the mag tube is the only thing left. There's a gritty feeling with the lube that came with the gun & it's still noticeable in the mag tube.

The mag tube might be held in with loctite. You will need to use a heat gun if it is, but it will come off with a bit of elbow grease.

It is threaded into the receiver.

(Be careful when you take out the end cap, the spring will get you if your not careful.)

just take a gun cleaning mop to it. that's what I do to my magazines when I think they are dirty. Usually fixes the problem.
