Using spend (has been shot-no bullet or powder) brass shell casings- drive out the old(spent/shot) primer with a small punch. Use a leather or gasket punch the right size to make med/soft plastic or leather dummy primers. You can use some super glue to keep in place- and if they stick out too far shave with a razor knife. Maybe not as good as the store bought-but still better than dry fire IMO. I found this helpful for practice (NOT LIVE) firing and bedding /smoothing the trigger machanism.
