Planning on swapping the 308 barrel to a 6.5 CM.

Also, anyone have experience on removing the barrel nut?

    Thanks!

I had my .308 MVP LC barrel changed last year due to a problem with the chamber that OFM, or their UK distributor, wouldn't help with.

I took it to a gunsmith who had done a .223 MVP before, so he knew the process, but he had to make a specific tool to take the barrel nut off...

No idea... I gave him the gun with the original barrel on it, when I picked it up it had a nice new stainless 24'' Border barrel on it... but he did mention that he had to make a new tool to get the .308 barrel nut off.

Look at the nut with a magnifying lens and you will see Tiny marks where that was turned on, in the factory with the wrench, so turn it off the other way. If you look carefully you can almost always tell by the tool marks on the nut.

But once it's been removed and replaced again then all bets are off.
