The ammo shortages of '12 combined with work and other competing interests have kept me away from shooting for a while, but I'm ready to dive back in. Unlike in the past I now have access to a 600 yard range and would like to start shooting longer distances. The only firearm currently in the safe that is appropriate for such yardage is the MVP, but it's one of the original long barrel versions with the 1-9 twist it's not the best for the heavier rounds that do best at that range. It'll spin 69 grain Sierra Match Kings, but not the 77 grain versions. So my question is will the 1-7 barrel for a new MVP LR Thunder Ranch fit and can I mount the action in a MDT LSS chassis for the MVP?
