Its a good lookin gun Dan! So what are you thinkin for this, what do you have planned?

Well there is not a whole lot that I feel needs to be done to this shotgun. I really enjoy shooting sporting clays, skeet and trap with it as is but I do plan to get some extended chokes and try some different brands out.

Good deal, and well said. Sometimes, nothin needs to be done. :)

Now if I pick up an 18.5" barrel for it and make it a dual setup for HD then there will be an array of parts being ordered.

Lol! It is fun to play sometimes!!! Gotta have at least one gun for the zombie apocalypse! :)

I got to shoot in a sporting clays tournament today which was a lot of fun. This is the second time shooting sporting clays and I decided that I really need to get a comb (cheek pad) so that I can get better positioning when I mount for a shot. I am also going to get some sort of pad extension to make to position the shotgun a bit better for me. I will keep everyone updated with what I end up buying.

For my 590A1 and 930 which both use micro reflex red dot sights, I use a comb riser that is cheap but very effective. I tape a foam strip to the top of the stock and then roll an elastic type shell holder over it to cover the foam.

I bought a LimbSaver slip on in size medium (it fits well but a large would likely be a better fit). I will be trying it out soon and will report back.

Lots of new parts will be tested in the near future on my Mossberg 930 Autoloader as I set it up for a multi-purpose shotgun.

To start I have a complete set of Nordic Components accessories on the way.

NC Bolt Operating Handle for Mossberg 930 SPX, 935
Nordic Speed Bolt Operating Handles provide a quick way to eject the last round or clear a jam from your shotgun without tearing your hand or fingers. Large round design provides a bigger surface area. Easily grabbed with or without gloves. Fits Mossberg 930 SPX, 935.

NC Shotgun Extension Complete Assemblies
These shotgun tubes are precisely machined from strong lightweight aircraft grade 6061 aluminum tubing. You can add anywhere from +1 to +8 rounds. Barrel nuts are designed to match OEM styling. Kit includes barrel nut, extension, spring, and end cap. We recommend using our Teflon coated Low-Drag Follower and our Shotgun Tube Clamp for the best performance.

Well after a lot of research I am going to give trulock chokes a try on my Mossberg 930 autoloader. I will be trying out the skeet 1, skeet 2, improved modified and extra full for the 28" VR barrel. I am also setting up a 18.5" to be threaded to run the trulock tactical choke.

For more information check out http://www.trulockchokes.com They have a ton of very helpful information about chokes on their site.

Nordic Components Charging Handle

First Impressions: The Nordic Components charging handle appears to be very well made and is surprisingly light. I did not measure it on a gram scale but it is very close to the stock charging handle that came with my Mossberg 930 autoloader.

Installation: You simply pull out your stock charging handle and insert your new Nordic Components charging handle.

Use: Well after throwing a ton of lead down range with the Nordic Components charging handle I can safely recommend this product for any Mossberg 930 Autoloader looking for a better feeling charging handle. The charging handle is well built, very ergonomic while providing great grip even when wearing thick gloves, light enough to not cause the bolt to jam when the Mossberg 930 Autoloader starts getting dirty and for me looks as though it should have came directly from Mossberg with it installed.

First Impressions: The finish on the Nordic Components magazine extension tubes is nearly identical to the factory finish on my Mossberg 930 Autoloader. This is a huge plus for me as I like parts that look as though they should have came directly from Mossberg with them installed. Additionally, all 3 parts of the setup seem well made and screw into each other smoothly.

Installation: You simply remove your factory magazine cap and assembly, screw on the Nordic Components system, measure and cut the supplied spring to approximately 10-16" longer than the factory magazine tube + the Nordic Components extension (I cut mine to ~10" to achieve full capacity and function) and finally you screw on the cap.

Use: With each of the Nordic Components magazine extension tubes I was able to achieve the indicated increases in magazine capacity. My Mossberg 930 Autoloader performed flawlessly while loading and firing with the newly installed Nordic Components magazine extension tubes. I really can't say enough about the fit, finish and functionality of these tubes; they are great! They work exactly as they should and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to increase the capacity of your Mossberg 930 Autoloader.
