VANS don't cut it for you? Or maybe their politics is worse than NIKE? I have some old Simples and the rubber has gotten quite hard...

I was wearing a shoe that nobody really makes a copy of: the Nike Blazer mid top skate shoe.

Unlike other mid top shoes it had a large cushy section across the Achilles tendon that was elastic and padded, and allowed plenty of flex while you were skating.

Also the Nike lunarlon insole was better than anything on the market except for maybe the Spenco insole.

I have tried on several pairs of Vans in my life and I have never liked the way they fit my foot. I do own a pair of black mid tops, and you can see him in that picture with the dogpile of Nikes.

They are okay to skate in but they are not as good to me as the Nike Blazer.

I could never afford Nike. I spent the money on groceries, motorcycle stuff, and ammo instead.
